A test work of larger scale enamel effects. Because this type of paint adds a distinctive dimension to anything it is laid on, brush strokes are noticeable and must flow through each segment of anything that is being painted, for otherwise it'd look a lot like tiny little paint bridges bumping up and down over each brush stroke.

This is why so many classes are "one-step" painting of enamels, and it was a challenge for the ponies, because they need to be painted very quickly and with the right proportions. I think the piece turned out well. Like the other early fall enamels, this one is on a secondhand vase from the local Goodwill store.
